- It is not recommended to consume soft drinks because they’re high in added sugars; a regular can of soft drink contains around ten teaspoons of added sugar.
- Plain water is a healthy option; you can even add flavour to your water just by adding fruit or vegetables.
- Natural sugars are a healthy option but they’re packaged in fruit, add natural sugars in moderation.
- Fruit drinks or sports drinks are mistaken for being healthy when, in fact, they can contain up to nine teaspoons of sugar.
